The Everywhere Dog
A 3-Week Training Retreat For Your Dog
Your dog will stay with us on our homestead AND accompany us on a road trip over the course of 3 weeks.
They will socialize with our pack, learn leash manners, reliable off-leash recall and more! We also teach you how to maintain the results so you can enjoy a smooth transition when they come home.
How it works
Week 1: Foundations At The Homestead
Your dog lives with me on my homestead, where we build the skills everything else depends on.
This is where we:
Establish clear communication (markers, timing, follow-through)
Build engagement and responsiveness
Teach structured leash walking
Begin recall foundations
Introduce calm behavior and expectations inside and outside the home
Socialize with other dogs and farm animals
This week is about laying the groundwork, ie. your dog learns how to learn!
Week 2: Life On The Road
Your dog joins me on a 4–7 day road trip in our camper van with our pack. There are endless opportunities for training, fun, and relaxation among the forests, beaches, campgrounds, patios, and more!
This is where dogs learn:
How to settle and relax in unfamiliar places
How to stay engaged despite distractions
How to generalize their training beyond one location
How to behave in real-world environments
How to ride calmly and confidently in a vehicle
We continue building:
Leash skills in new places
Recall in distracting environments
Calm behavior around people, dogs, and busy public places
I say this all the time:
Most dogs just need a long road trip. Because this is where they learn to adapt and become more confident as we expose them to new environments with safe and consistent routines.
Week 3: Owner Training
This is where everything comes together! After all, your dog’s training doesn’t matter if you don’t know how to maintain it.
We’ll meet for three in-person sessions where you will:
Learn how to handle your dog correctly
Practice leash handling skills, e-collar, and recall
Understand timing, pressure, and reward
Work through your specific situations and goals
Build confidence so you can continue the training on your own
This is not a quick hand-off, we spend 1-2 hours each lesson to ensure you feel confident handling your dog through every aspect of your life. This is where you learn how to actually live with your trained dog!
What Your Dog Will Learn
By the end of the program, your dog will have a strong foundation in:
Leash walking and handling
Reliable recall (on and off leash, e-collar training included)
Clear communication and responsiveness
Calm behavior in new environments
Settling in the home, car, and in public
Traveling and adapting to new environments with ease
But more importantly…
They’ll understand how to exist in the real world and take guidance from you!
